"Electronic monitoring, no matter how sophisticated or comprehensive, does not necessarily reduce the need for clinical skills such as inspection, palpation, and auscultation." Barash 6th Edition. Italics added.
Nuff said. Looks like you should look, touch, and listen to your patient.

I know everyone has a job to do but this is painful. Stop calling. It wastes minutes. If I wanted to purchase your product, I would go looking for that product. Calling me at 930 pm will not help my desire for your product. |

Inefficiency is more apparent the more regulation occurs. It slows down the system. More paper work needs to be completed. For what purpose? |

8:32 up the hill today. Another 60+ km on the bike. Felt a little sore due to the hard ride yesterday. One more night on call as well. |

Another day has been placed in the past folder.
Otherwise, 7:55 was the time up to the top of 4 mile post road. Not too shabby on a day after a recovery ride. |

"Once in a vision I came on some woods And stood at a fork in the road My choices were clear Yet I froze with the fear Of not knowing which way to go One road was simple Acceptance of life The other road offered sweet peace When I made my decision My vision became my release." -Dan Fogleberg, from the song ‘Netherlands” It is 365 days from today. One year. One year to decide the majority of my professional career. One year before the dreams become reality. One year until the highway turns into the off-ramp onto a smaller two lane road. One year until new doors are opened, and others are closed. One year remains, but much needs to be done before then. Some are having a challenging time picking a road. When the time for action has arrived, the time for preparation has ended. Roll the dice. Kick the tires and light the fires. Rock and roll. |

I think John Mellencamp had it right.
"Got nothing against the big town."
"My bed is in a small town. It is good enough for me."
"I can breathe in a small town."
Looking at all of this those types of ideas are what are guiding a portion of my future decisions.
