Reviews: Tires: Vredestein Tri Comp Clinchers
Well, I tried these clinchers with the understanding from the triathletes that they were the bomb. You can pump up the pressure in the tires to 150 psi. If you ask me, that is a lot. Sure, they might appear to be more like tubular tires; however unless you use Reynolds rims, you void your rim warranty on your wheels. I believe that these tires are quick, but they are not the quickest on the market. They also cost a pretty penny at $55 a piece. They have a great color assortment to match any color scheme you can possibly imagine.

Unless your rim can support a supper high pressure, these tires probably are not for you. I would also submit that the tread compound is more delicate than most. If you ride over roads that have lots of sticks, glass, and metal pieces, you should expect to flat more regularly than you might right now. Sure, they work. But better tires are out there. For all of the weight weenies, the tires are significantly heavier than other comparable tire treads out on the market.
