Review: Wheels: PerformanceBike.Com Titan Clinchers
I have used two and a half sets of these wheels in the past four years. If you are looking for a rather bombproof bicycle wheelset, look no further. First off, these wheels are cheap ($120) for a set. They can withstand a lot of beatings, broken roads, and railroad tracks. Sure, they are not a super lightweight wheelset, but if you hope to keep your $1000+ lightweight wheelset safe until race day, buy these ones. I now use these for my indoor trainer wheelset. The hubs are well built and last a long time. The spokes are aero and spin up rather quickly. Another major selling point centers on PerformanceBike.Com itself. The warranty on these wheels is like any other warranty by Performance Bike. If a spoke breaks, you can send the wheel back to the company, and they will probably send you out a brand new wheel. How about that! Keep your receipt. Sure, shipping costs you $35, but after a few broken wheels that have been sent back and new ones returned, you will have enjoyed your decision on these wheels.
