Cycling Guide 2008 - Bike, Frame or Wheels
This is one of the oldest questions in the cycling book of life. Where should I invest my hard earned money? Tell me, Alvin. Should it be
my entire bike, frame, or the wheels? First off, I would ask you what are your plans? Is cycling your general recreation? Are you into group riding? Are you into racing? --If yes, what type? Road races, crits, time trials, sprint triathlons, olympic tri, half ironman, ironman Second, you need to ask yourself how much you want to spend on this investment. <$500 $500-$1000 $1000-$2000 $2000-$4000 $4000-$10000 $10000 and up With those answers, I could get a general idea about how much and where you should spend your money. Remember, all of the advice I give is just that, advice. I claim no secret truth behind what I write on this web site. I have no affiliations with any professional cycling teams, equipment manufacturers, sponsorship agreements, nor do I claim that I have seen flying saucers, the location of Jimmy HOffa or any other like theme. Hopefully, you understand that I base my knowledge on my own personal experience with cycling equipment and that of working in a bicycle shop for nearly two years as a mechanic/salesman. |
